At Smart Sitters, the process is simple. Our main concern is the safety of your children—hands down. But, your convenience is a close second.
If you haven’t booked a sitter with us before, please complete a New Client Sign-Up. Once we’ve received your profile, we’ll send you a welcome email with everything you need to know!

If you’re a returning client and need a sitter for one day, multiple days, overnight, or for a special event or church nursery, first of all, welcome back! We have a form specifically for you. Simply request a sitter now, and then we’ll get to work.

We’re happy to take care of all the grunt work for you!

Once we’ve received your Sitter Request, we’ll begin searching for available Smart Sitters from our roster to find the right sitter for your family. We place and book all of our sitters based on location, strengths, chemistry, and availability.

Once we confirm the date and time of your request with the Smart Sitter, we provide her (or him) with all the necessary information about your needs, preferences, and any special instructions you may have (e.g., allergies, medications, bedtime, prohibited activities, pets in the home, etc.). We also provide the sitter with your address and contact information.

Once that is done, we’ll send you an email confirming your Smart Sitter reservation. This email will contain your sitter’s profile, photo, and contact information. We will also send a PayPal invoice for your booking fee. All you have to do is touch base with your sitter and pay your fee. It’s that easy!

Once your booking fee has been paid, your work is done! You’re free to relax or focus on the rest of your busy schedule. You can trust that with us, a fun and reliable Smart Sitter will show up at your house on time. We are happy to answer any questions you may have in the meantime!

A few additional details to consider when booking with Smart Sitters:

If you wish to inquire about our services prior to booking a sitter, please do so via email prior to submitting a Sitter Request form. As soon as a Sitter Request form has been submitted, we begin searching for a sitter to fill that request and will book a sitter as soon as one becomes available. Upon receipt of an email from Smart Sitters South Carolina confirming the sitter reservation, the reservation is deemed confirmed. If we cannot find a sitter to fill your request, you will be notified via email.

Please submit requests at least 24 hours in advance if possible­­—the earlier the better!

All sitter reservations must occur directly between you and Smart Sitters. Clients are strictly prohibited from contacting sitters directly to book sitting jobs. ‘Under the table’ sitting will be cause for (1) immediate termination of the offending sitter’s membership with Smart Sitters, and (2) immediate discontinuation of Smart Sitters’ services to the offending client.
